The MB40-VL face and fingerprint terminal combines time attendance and door access control in a single device. The real value of this terminal lies in its identification technology: users can verify by face or by fingerprint. This solves the problem of identical twins, who can simply use their fingerprints to clock in or open doors.

In our own testing, the MB40-VL recognized faces quickly, and users did not need to stand close to the device. It can verify faces from up to 1.5 metres away, so there is no need to queue, and it also helps maintain a safe distance to reduce the spread of viruses.

Thanks to 3D face modelling technology, the terminal accurately recognizes faces turned to the left or right, with a face angle tolerance of up to +/- 30 degrees.

The terminal offers flexible communication options. It can connect via Wi-Fi for convenient installation without cabling, or via a wired LAN connection for greater stability.

For security, its AI system is designed to detect face spoofing, so photos and videos cannot be used to gain access.

The MB40-VL stores up to 3,000 faces and 3,000 fingerprints, with memory for up to 100,000 attendance records.

The manufacturer has equipped it with a dual-core CPU, 5 MB of RAM and 8G of ROM. Its 2MP camera supports wide dynamic range (WDR) for backlit conditions, and built-in LED lights compensate for low-light environments.

The ZKTeco Smart AC1 face and fingerprint terminal is designed for fast, accurate face detection. It supports 6,000 faces and 6,000 fingerprints and stores up to 100,000 attendance records. It is easy to use and ideal for door access control and time attendance.

Using technology that converts facial images into 3D models, this terminal can verify faces at angles of up to 30 degrees and at distances from 30 centimetres up to 2 metres. Users do not need to stop in front of the device and look at the camera; they can simply walk past and the terminal will verify their face.

The Smart AC1 also features white LED lighting above the screen and a camera that handles backlit conditions. This allows it to operate in everything from low light to very bright environments while capturing clear facial detail.

For communication, the terminal can connect to the network via LAN cable and also features built-in Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. It comes with ZKBioAccess, an easy-to-use web-based management software. Installed on just one computer, it can manage multiple devices simultaneously.
